KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Boondocks, the black comic-strip family living in white suburbia, are going on vacation.
Aaron McGruder, the cartoonist behind the strip syndicated in about 350 American newspapers, said Tuesday he would take about six months off beginning in March.

it's time to relax.
He been at this for 12 years. 6 months of relaxing is not long. He did not really think he could make a living doing this & living in L.A.. He just have to refresh his mind and enjoy life.
well i spose i can hang, if'n he finds the time to be on bill maher while he's on vacation.
i'm just bummed cuz he does such a *fabulous* (see http://www.dubyaspeak.com) job skewering the bush administration... lord knows lately they've been giving him plenty of material!
